partial freedom

as i mentioned before, i am now on holiday!. the finals were hard, harder than usual. but i’m thinking its due to the fact that i only have classes 2 and a half days a week this semester, which didn’t really help me get out of my holiday mood and that has made it harder to get focused and to motivate myself to study. i mean i have classes 2 days a week and the other 5 days i can do whatever i want. so obviously i’m gonna laze around and be unproductive so not helpful at all. so yea finals were hard i admit, and i blame it on myself for not having the will power i needed to pull myself away from the other more interesting activities and face the books instead. but anyway the semester is over, so here’s to hoping next semester will be better.

although my holidays is only 2 weeks plus, i have big plans for it. i’m thinking of volunteering for SPCA. thats something i’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t due to some issues, issues that i’ll talk about some other time. i know volunteering for the SPCA may require some yucky stuff that i may not want to do (picking up dog shit anyone?) but i just gotta do it cause i love dogs and i wanna help. some people are content with just donating money but i’m not, i mean theres only so much money can do, these dogs, they’ve been abandoned or never been loved. i want to go and help the organization and at the same time help the dogs, show them some love and attention, at the same time they’ll probably get cleaner cages too.

also i’ve got a DIY project i want to do. i want to build a fence like frame so i have a room i’ll be able to put my dogs in. i have never been good at toilet training my dogs so i get this issue of my dogs doing thier business in the house sometiems, so because of that i don’t let them inside the house as much as i would like too. so i’m thinking of using this fence thing i wanna build to block of some areas so they cant get to those parts of the house. i searched online and found out that to buy these fences it might cost me alot, so the bf thought of this idea that seems simple and easy to do ourselves. so we’re gonna try to  make it happen.

and i’ve got tickets to see Switchfoot when they come to Malaysia this Sunday. so i’m super excited about that. i’ll always loved Switchfoot, ever since a friend gave me their album, the Beautiful letdown. i bought tickets for the intimate Zone which are the closest i could get to the stage, so im hoping for an awesome night! i seem to prefer the songs from their first album so i hope they’ll play a few songs from there as well.

thats all that i can think of now but i’m assuming or hoping that as my holidays go on, i’ll think of more things i want to do and do it before my freedom ends and it’s back to the books for me. it’s only going to be about 2 more semester until i finish my degree. so i should graduate by the end of this year. so im guessing the next few semesters are going to be tough 🙂

happy belated easter day!

last weekend was easter weekend and im sorry i didnt post anything. i wanted to i swear but i was tied down with finals  but now its over and i have freedom to laze around doing nothing guilt free 🙂 too bad this freedom is just a mere 2 weeks long. but no worries i’m just starting my thesis so by the end of the year if all goes well i’ll be able to graduate. so good luck to me 🙂

i spent my easter lunch with some relatives having a Japanese buffet lunch and wow was it filling!

i figured since it was easter and i was going to a buffet lunch i better wear something stretchable but in light colors to match the occasion. also since i had to walk around to get my food i wore my low wedges. no falling over and dropping plates of food for me 🙂

anyway happy belated easter to everyone 🙂

ps: i dyed my hair red ! it’s something i wanted to do for a long time but just didnt have the guts to do mainly cause i had no idea how it would turn out and cause i didn’t want to end up looking like some old auntie from the market. but i think it looks not bad now so i’ll put up a post to show off my new red mane soon!

just dull

its officially finals week. supposed to be studying right now but i’m procrastinating so whatever.

feeling rather dull these days. like everything is so boring and dull. but i’ve got lots of plans for my short 3 week break so i hope that’ll get me out of my dull funk.

lost and found.

sometimes i sit on the floor and stare at my cupboard. then i get up and drag everything out. every single article of clothing. only to put it back in again neatly. only for it to be a mess again a few days later. but in the process of dragging everything out and putting it back in. sometimes i find stuff i forgot i had. like this time, i found my harem pants. my harem pants which i never wore before, the pair i bought cause it was selling really cheap. i love my harem pants, its so soft and roomy and comfy. i dont know why or how i even managed to forget about it. but to think about it, at the time i bought it i wasnt really into the harem pants trend but still bought it nonetheless, so its easy to realize or rather remember why i forgot about it, but now that I’ve found it, i’m gonna wear it.

its like i give my past self a pat on the back for always buying things im not sure i like only to end up loving it in the future. like the off white bag i’ve been using the past few weeks. when i bought it i wasnt very sure about it and so i kept it away for months, only to find it again recently and realize its potential to match everything i own 🙂

sunny days

its such a lovely sunny day. and here i am in my room, sitting staring at my pc. all i want to do is go frolic in the sun or eat some ice cream and take a nap. but no i have an assignment to finish. and i can’t put it off any longer cause its due tmrw. so what i will do is eat my ice cream and continue staring at the computer. i keep telling myself that by the end of April it’ll be over and i’ll get my long awaited two week break where i can go whereever i want and do whatever i want.

i realized that i have a lot of clothes. and yet i still face the same dilemma every morning of “what to wear ?” which always come to the conclusion that “i have nothing to wear”. way way in the back of my mind, i know that isn’t true. sometimes all i need is a little inspiration to kick start my creativity to improvise and look at my clothes from a different perspective. in my opinion style isn’t all about what you’re wearing or how in season it is. it’s really about how you wear it to complement your personality and how you mix it up.
